Strong Investment Results in 2024
The investments of the pension fund performed exceptionally well in 2024. Therefore, the Board of Trustees has decided that both active insured members and retirees should benefit from this success.
Active Insured Members
The retirement savings of active insured members will be credited with 7.5% interest for the year 2024. This represents an interest rate 6.25 percentage points above the statutory minimum interest rate of 1.25% set by the Federal Council.
For capital flows in 2025, such as withdrawal benefits or pensions commencing during the year, the statutory minimum interest rate of 1.25% will continue to apply.
Retirees
One-Time Additional Payment
Retirees will receive a one-time additional payment for the year 2024. This will be transferred in January 2025 together with the regular monthly pension payment. The amount of the additional payment will be calculated as an individual percentage of each retiree's regular monthly pension. It takes into account the conversion rate that was valid at the time of retirement. However, the additional payment is at least CHF 500.
